Our Story
Modern Argentine Food in London
Bringing Back the Soul of Argentine Cuisine
People don’t just miss soulful places. They miss food experiences that connect them to something real.
In a city where we eat constantly but rarely pause, Chef Rulo brings back what’s missing: Argentinian soul.
We specialise in Modern Argentine food in London, rooted in tradition and expressed with a contemporary spirit. Argentine cuisine is not fast or silent; it is built around the parrilla, around conversation, music, and time shared without hurry.
Every empanada, every cut of asado-grilled meat, every spoon of chimichurri carries a story of tango, migration, and long Sunday gatherings that stretch into the night.
This is not just catering. It is fire, ritual, and story, meant to be experienced, not simply consumed.
Fire
The parilla is at the heart of Argentine cooking.
Premium meats. Open flame. Patience. Craft.
Fire transforms ingredients — and gathers people around it.
Ritual
In Argentina, food is ceremony.
Empanadas made by hand.
Asado prepared slowly.
Wine poured generously.
Time shared without hurry.
Soul
Warmth. Presence. Music in the background.
The feeling that you are part of something human and real.
We exist to bring that feeling to London.

Chef Rulo — Argentine Chef in London
In Argentina, everyone has a nickname. It’s part of the culture — given with affection and familiarity.
“Rulo,” meaning curly hair, was shouted at Eduardo one day on the streets of Buenos Aires. The name stuck. And so, Chef Rulo was born.
He moved to the UK in 1998 and has called London home since 2001. His food journey began as a teenager selling homemade lemon meringue pies before going on to study at a catering college.
When he arrived in London, he brought a taste of Argentina with him, selling alfajores and dulce de leche at Camden Market. Over time, that modest beginning evolved into professional Argentine catering in London, first within the tango community, then at larger events including the London Tango Championship and Tango Space gatherings in London and Paris.
Chef Rulo works alongside his wife, Laura, who was born in Argentina but grew up in the UK, together they bridge the two cultures. Bringing both creative vision and practical precision, Laura helps shape each event behind the scenes, ensuring everything runs seamlessly. They are the heart behind every gathering.
Today, Chef Rulo remains deeply connected to the tango world, regularly cooking at milongas where food, music, and dance become one shared ritual.
Whether for an intimate dinner, corporate gathering, wedding, or large celebration, the purpose is always the same:
To create belonging around food and honour the ritual of sharing a meal.
Because Argentine cuisine is not a product.
It is identity.
